Citrus County officials opened a new logistics building this week in Lecanto.
A ribbon-cutting took place at the new facility, located on the corner of West Homosassa Trail and West Country Drive. The new 9,800-square foot facility sits across from the Nature Coast EMS headquarters.
According to partner newspaper the Citrus County Chronicle, the new building will house, maintain and restock the Nature Coast's 18 ambulances when they are not responding to emergencies.
The new facility coast $600,000.
Nature Coast EMS is a non-profit organization and Citrus County's sole EMS provider.
