You’ll usually find Everyday Hero and Plant City police Officer Priscilla Clark at Courier Field.

People in Plant City say Clark is so much more than a Community Redevelopment Area Officer. Five days a week, Clark helps feed the homeless at Courier Field.

Clark said, it hits close to home for her.

“To reach out to some of the homeless folks is personal to me,” Clark said. “I went through a difficult time and there were days we didn’t have food at home, so I know what it’s like to go to bed hungry.”

Dean Pfeffer, the senior pastor at Hope Lutheran Church, an organization that also helps out in Courier Field, said Clark impresses everyone she meets.

“There was one day she just went to get something out of her car for me and she opened the trunk, and I saw the toys and the things she had for the people here. And I was just beside myself when I saw it,” Pfeffer said.

Clark’s involvement with the community exceeds her job description, including work with children and the elderly.

“We all have such a need and we all struggle and let’s not be critical of the people that we have who are struggling because we never know what their situation is. We’re all people,” Clark said.
