Seventy-five-year-old Chuck Smith wrote a message to the person who broke into his house three times in four days.

On the wood filling a hole where glass was broken through, he wrote: "You come into my house one more time and I will come see you."

The Smiths say a burglar broke in through their front and back doors and stole about $900 in coins.

Ernest Lamar Carryer, III was arrested for the crimes. Turns out, the Smiths know him. They say he’s the son of a family friend.

"When this happened, that’s just like getting me down, slapping me in the face and beating the tar out of me,” said Mr. Smith. “It just hurt my feelings."

"He took away my safety and that makes me sick," said Mrs. Smith.

After the three burglaries, Officer Daniel Sosa-Jones wanted to help. He reached out to WalMart and WalMart donated a home security system.

"Thank you just doesn’t fit. How can you say more than thank you,” said Mrs. Jones.

Grateful for the officer and the security system, Mrs. Smith said it will still take a while before she feels completely safe at home.
