Tropical Storm Bill is weakening as expected.

The storm made landfall on Matagorda Island, Texas on Tuesday at 12:45 p.m.

It’s mainly a rain threat now with flooding rains possible the next couple days as it slowly moves northward across Texas and eventually into Oklahoma.

Gusts of up to 53 mph was reported at both Palacios and Port O'Connor. The water level at Port Lavaca, Texas, was about three feet above normal.
