Employees of one real estate office in the Bay area have another skill to add to their resumes: self-defense.
Agents and other workers at Horizon Palm Realty group in Spring Hill are being treated to free self-defense classes.
This came in response to those two attacks on Realtors earlier this month in St. Petersburg.
"We would go constantly to them and say, you guys should take a different class," said Jason Valez, owner of the jujitsu class next door.
Thursday was the first day the Realtors tried it out.
"We learned some really great techniques that I think, if we may be practiced, might be good," said Liz Piedra owner of Horizon Palm Realty group. "Will sell your house, we won't beat you up, I promise."
