The Florida Forest Service has named its 2015 Firefighter of the Year.
Jared Dorrier earned the honor.
He's a senior ranger with the Withlacoochee Forestry Center in Brooskville.
He's served for 10 years as a teacher of controlled burns. He'll be honored in front of the state cabinet during a ceremony early next year.
