A Davenport resident died in a mobile home fire Tuesday morning, authorities said.

According to Polk County Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched to 421 Buck Trail Round at 6:45 a.m. and found a mobile home fully engulfed in flames. Because of the intensity of the fire, firefighters were only able to battle the fire from the outside initially.

Family members who live nearby could not make contact with the occupant, leading firefighters to believe someone might be inside. Once crews had a knockdown on the fire, they began sifting through the debris. They found the remains of one adult after an extensive search, authorities said.

On Wednesday, deputies said an autopsy was conducted on the body. The woman's death has been preliminarily ruled accidental, but the exact cause of death is pending the outcome of the toxicology report.  Foul play is not suspected.

Deputies said they have not officially identified the woman, but they believe the body is that of Becky Ann Velez, 61, who lived at the home and has been unaccounted for since the fire.

The State Fire Marshal is is investigating the fire.
