A new market is opening in Crystal River this weekend.

The grand open for the"Heritage Market by the Bay" market is Friday at 10 a.m.

The new market, which will feature fresh produce among a host of other food goods, is located at 103 NW U.S. 19, Crystal River, right next to city hall.

"Right at this moment we’ve got produce," said owner Deb Gallagher. "What I’m trying to do is get as much Florida produce as we can. There’s a lot of talent in Crystal River that never gets exposed."

According to partner newspaper the Citrus County Chronicle, Gallagher said she’s also trying to team up with local artisans for supplies.
