Walk inside Jim and Bonnie Parr’s Indian Shores condo and it’s like stepping back in time, as the entire condo is decorated in '50s memorabilia.

From floor to ceiling, Jim and Bonnie Parr have collected everything from furniture and pictures to music and memorabilia. Everything is retro.

“I was really moving and grooving and dancing and having good times," said Jim Parr, who is a retired mechanic.

Bonnie Parr, a retired teacher, was in junior high and high school at that time.

Now, in their 60s and 70s, the couple doesn’t want to leave the '50s.

“It’s just a chance to go back in the past and see retro stuff you don’t see too much of today,” she said.

"It was back in the time when things were a lot more simpler," said Mr. Parr.

Elvis Presley is their favorite entertainer, and they enjoy listening to his records. They have so much Elvis memorabilia hanging, they’re running out of wall space.

The Parrs' favorite piece is what they describe as an original dinette set. They drove to Ft. Myers for the candy apple red table.

Bonnie Parr says she actually finds a lot of pieces online and at antique shops.

They Parrs say the doo wop décor definitely helps keep them young.

“The only part of it that’s a little not-too-cool is when I walk outside that door, I face reality,” Jim Parr said.
