All this rain is causing some flooding in Hernando County.

Masaryktown is soaked to the bone. Yards have turned into ponds and some roads are closed. One homeowner is so fed up, she's moving.

Between the rain showers Donna Smith-Lopez is clearing everything out of her house. She woke up Saturday morning and her home was surrounded by water.

"I opened up the door and couldn't believe it," she said. "The house was an island. I ran to the back and the pool was underwater."

Smith-Lopez is already packing up her things after just moving into her Masaryktown home in March. She was in the middle of doing renovations, but now she is returning everything she bought.

"Try to salvage as much as possible," she said. "That is the important thing."

Water has gotten into her house once, but it's dry now. She found out from neighbors the property floods all the time. She said she had no idea.

"It has done this it's entire existence," she said.

Other parts of Masaryktown are dealing with flooding too. We found a closed road and a few other yards full of water. Smith-Lopez said she's keeping her eyes on the sky, hoping the rain ends soon.

"I pray," she said. "That's what I do. That's all you can do. You can't control it."

A soggy situation that has left this homeowner with few options.

Smith-Lopez said once she is all moved out of her house, she plans to head back to Virginia where she moved down from.
