Some Plant City residents were cleaning up from storm damage Monday after a powerful thunderstorm rolled through Sunday.

A large part of a huge oak tree fell onto Andy Kitchens' backyard and house.

"'It was scary. We thought, well here comes another storm," said Kitchens. "Then we heard limbs cracking."

Kitchens believes the fallen tree limb did about $15,000 worth of damage to his home. A work crew was using chain saws Monday afternoon to remove the limb.

The storm was also a scary experience for Betty Benson across the street. A storm the previous week tore up a massive oak tree in her back yard.

"And all of a sudden this tree over here goes," Benson said. "What in the name of god is going to happen next."

No one was injured by the damaged trees.
