The two boaters reported missing on a 39-foot boat between Charlotte Harbor and Carrabelle were found by Coast Guard crews 45 miles west of the Homosassa River on Tuesday.

Missing were Michael Forehand, who is in his late 30’s and Lisa Harris, 48, from Carrabelle.

An aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater located the boat at 7:35 a.m., about 20 hours after it had been reported missing, and determined it was stranded with engine failure. Forehand and Harris were in good condition.

A friend of the boaters had reported them missing Monday morning, saying they had been due to arrive in Carrabelle by sunset Sunday. The friend also said Harris had not shown up for work at 9 a.m. Monday.
