Deputies are investigating a shooting in Tampa this weekend that left a man dead and another man in the hospital.
The shooting happened Saturday at 2:23 a.m. in the 1500 block of 139th Avenue E.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a large group of people were gathered in the common area when shots were fired.
When deputies arrived, they found Eldrid "El" Jashad Martin, 28, dead at the scene.
Another man, James “Scoop” Lee Rodgers, 24, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
