After shooting a suspect dead, deputies said they found the body of another man inside a Thonotosassa home Tuesday afternoon.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a disturbance call at a residence on 11000 Smoken Gun Lane Tuesday afternoon when they were confronted by a man with a firearm.

"Our deputies gave numerous commands to drop the firearm. The suspect then began to raise the firearm and pointed it at deputies at which time they fired their weapons," said HCSO spokesperson Col. Donna Luscynski.

He died at the scene.

Deputies then searched the residence and discovered the body of a deceased man. Lusczynski said it appears to be a homicide.

Authorities are not releasing a motive yet.

The sheriff's office obtained a search warrant to collect evidence at the house.

"We believe this is limited to this scene and we'll be staying here conducting our investigation," said Luscynski.

Two deputies involved in the shooting were uninjured.

They have been identified as Mark Barnwell and Izzy Roquemore.

Both have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into the shooting which is standard procedure.

The sheriff's office said is is working to confirm the identities of the two men who were killed.
