A high school pep rally is taking place Friday at Mulberry High School.

But this rally isn't for the football squad, it's for Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Tammbrii Noel, Mulberry Middle School's resource deputy. She's also a fixture at Mulberry High football games.

A 23-year law enforcement veteran, Noel was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July.

In 2011 she was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and has been dealing with all of the medications and issues associated with the disease. Noel recently had Thyroidectomy surgery and is preparing for radiation treatment.

Mulberry High and Middle schools are making a push to her with her medical expenses.
