The 150 new beds at Citrus Memorial Hospital are almost ready for the public.

The setting up of the beds is a little more detailed than your regular bed purchase from a furniture store.

According to Citrus Memorial Hospital Marketing Director Katie Myers, once all the beds were delivered, they have to be thoroughly cleaned, put through safety checks and recorded into the system.

The costs of the new beds is about $1.5 million.

According to partner newspaper the Citrus County Chronicle, the beds are part of a renovation project at the facility, where crews have been redoing rooms by  "gutting them" and replacing ceiling tiles, repainting, stripping the floors and applying new floor wax.
