Hernando County deputies say a woman stabbed her father and his girlfriend before stabbing herself Tuesday morning at a house in Brooksville.

Dispatchers received a 911 call at 4:11 a.m. about the triple stabbing, which happened at 151 Estates Ave. in Brooksville, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived, they found three people who had sustained stab wounds. They were treated on scene, then taken by air to a trauma center.

Deputies said following a verbal disturbance, Heather Catalano, 22, stabbed her father, Joseph Catalano, 51, and his girlfriend Christina Owen, 35, and then herself. All three people live in the home, deputies said.

Deputies said Owen was able to run from the scene to a neighbor's house to call for help.

Owen is listed in critical condition. Catalano and her father are listed in stable condition.

Heather Catalano will be charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon once she is medically cleared from the hospital, deputies said.
