At first glance you might not believe how old Arryn Mason is, but a closer look at her "Frozen" helmet might give you a clue.

"The best way to explain Arryn is if you were to unzip her, she’s like a rainbow," her father Mike Mason said. "I mean, she's just beautiful inside and out."

At the end of every rainbow is a pot of gold and this 6-year-old speed skater is not going home with anything less.

"She gets so fast and I didn’t know such a small body could go that fast," said Arryn’s sister Megan.

This is a family sport for the Bradenton family. Every week they line up in their matching outfits, practicing drills and sharing some laughs. However, when it comes time to race, they're ready.

Arryn is not new to racing. Last year she placed fourth nationally in her division, and she told her dad she wanted to do better.

"She was like, 'Oh I got fourth,' and I was like, 'It’s not winning all the time, it’s about getting the experience and enjoying this sport,' " Mike Mason said.

Which Arryn says she does.

"I like skating and it's so fun," said Arryn.

Arryn will be competing again for nationals this year. However, at just 6 years old, her father says there's plenty of time if she doesn’t make it.
