Deputies arrested a man they say broke into a Brooksville home and fired a gun early Saturday moring.

David Williams, 19, was wanted on several charges, including armed home invasion and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Deputies say he broke into a house on Brook Drive just after 4 a.m. and became involved in an altercation with at least one person in the house. At some point during the altercation, deputies say Williams fired a handgun.

On Monday, deputies received a tip that Williams was at a home on residence on Stubbs Street in Brooksville. When they arrived, they found WIlliams and took him into custody without further incident.

Williams was booked into the Hernando County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
