Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who robbed a Brandon Publix disguised as a painter Monday morning.

The robbery occurred at the Publix located at 939 West Brandon Blvd. in Brandon. 

At approximately 8:20 a.m., deputies said the suspect entered the store, which is under construction.

The suspect is a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and was wearing a painter's outfit and a blue mask, according to deputies. He approached the customer service counter and asked to speak to the manager. 

Once the manager responded to the service counter, deputies said the suspect demanded money from the safe. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the business.

The suspect's vehicle is descibed as a silver Lexus, mid-2000's (possibly 2005). Anyone with any information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
