The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a hit-and-run driver after a fatal crash late Sunday on Interstate 75.

According to troopers, a body was found along northbound I-75 near mile maker 240 just north of Sun City Center at 11 a.m. Monday.

Troopers said they are searching for a black Ford SUV or pickup truck, possibly a F150, F250 or Expedition. Authorities said the vehicle likely will have damage to its right front and possibly a flat tire.

FHP has only said the victim is a 38-year-old man who likely was struck while walking along the roadway. Officials also have not said why the man walking near the highway.
