Funeral arrangements are set for a Pasco County farmer and businessman who was killed in a bicycle accident Saturday.

Joseph Hancock, 57, died after he was struck by a driver along Lake Nole Road in Dade City.

Hancock owned Hancock Groves and ran his family’s Florida Century Pioneer Farm.

He also spent decades coaching his sons and other young baseball stars with the San Antonio Sports Association.

“He’s just a good guy, that we lost too young,” said friend and Association President Dave Noyes.

Visitation services for Hancock will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Highway 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Townsend House Cemetery in Dade City.

Hancock leaves behind his mother, wife, three sons and a host of other family members.

The family requests that any donations for Hancock be sent to The Pioneer Florida Museum and Village or The Townsend House Cemetery.
