Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay weather for Memorial Day:

  • Storm damage reported in St. Pete
  • Lingering storms tonight
  • High temps in the 80s at the coast, 90s inland

Scattered thunderstorms will linger this evening then it will become mostly clear overnight. Low temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s.

Storms earlier this afternoon caused minor damage in a St. Petersburg neighborhood. Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist said the damage was most likely the result of a wet microburst.

The rest of the week will feature a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms each day due to the sea breezes. The rain chance is 30% to 40%.

A few of the storms could be strong and produce gusty winds and frequent lightning.

High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s Tuesday through Friday.

Low temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s.
