Here's what you need to know about Bay area weather for Wednesday:

  • A few showers throughout Wednesday evening
  • Wednesday's lows in the mid 70s
  • Expect a typical summer pattern the rest of the week

The drier air is slowly going away but it will take some time for the atmosphere to fully get back to the normal rainy-season pattern.

It will tend to happen in small steps. We saw a few storms this evening, and we will see a few more for Thursday. But we likely won’t get back to a normal rainy-season pattern until this weekend into early next week.

Expect partly cloudy to mostly clear skies for Thursday morning. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s.

There will be a 30 percent chance of an afternoon storm in northern counties, and a 40 percent chance in southern counties. Highs will top out in the low to mid 90s.
