Dog owners will soon be able to take their pooch with them if they want to dine at certain Daytona Beach restaurants.
Wednesday night, Daytona Beach commissioners approved an ordinance allowing doggie dining in restaurants with outdoor seating, provided those eateries apply for a city permit.
The ordinance applies only to dogs and the animals are not allowed inside the establishment. Service animals are not affected by the ordinance.
