As election day approaches – the candidates are on the road campaigning for votes. Governor Rick Scott was in Orlando telling constituents to get out there and vote early.

Governor Rick Scott stepped off of the “Let’s Keep Working” tour bus to meet with supporters today at a car dealership on Orange Blossom Trail.

The Governor who was in Jacksonville early Saturday morning pushing his Get Out and Early Vote campaign was running nearly an hour late to the Orlando event. That didn’t seem to matter to supporters though. Inside, he told the crowd, Florida’s economic growth and job growth for the next generation depends on him winning the election.

“We’re living our dreams and we want them to have the same shot that we had to grow up in a country where your parents can say you can be anything," said Gov. Scott.

But the focus of today’s message – getting voters out to the polls early. Both Governor Scott and former Governor Crist are in a dead heat in the polls and the Governor let the crowd know how crucial each vote is.

“So now the election is right around the corner. How do you win? With votes. Its nice if you are way ahead in the polls. Its nice to do well in the polls but the truth is Mitt Romney was ahead and he didn’t win the election. Why? Because he did not get the vote out. If you have an absentee ballot – vote it today,” said Gov. Scott.

With that the governor stopped for a few candid photos with supporters and then he boarded his campaign bus headed to Polk county. And with only 10 days left before election day – he is hoping his early voting message can get him an early lead before November
