A pair of middle school kids in Flagler County had to find a different way to school Wednesday morning after the Sheriff's Office was notified of a gun on board a school bus.

The driver of bus 9710, which was heading to Buddy Taylor Middle School, had pulled over at Royal Palms Parkway and Town Center Boulevard, in Palm Coast, to report the incident.

It turned out the "gun" was actually a pair of "Confetti 6-Shooter" toys, which shoot bits of paper.

Apparently, the students were bringing the confetti gun to school to celebrate a birthday.

Two students were taken off the bus by a Flagler County deputy, and the bus then went on to the school.
