Launch managers have scrubbed Thursday's Delta IV rocket launch because of weather. United Launch Alliance will try again Friday.

The new 65-minute launch window opens at 6:55 p.m. at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

There is a 40 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for the launch Friday.

United Launch Alliance said a problem with a ground control environmental system item scrubbed Wednesday night's opportunity.

It meant a 24 hour turnaround for the Delta IV rocket as the repairs were made, which is carrying a pair of Air Force tracking satellites, and another one for a separate mission in orbit.
