Want to serve in law enforcement?

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is looking to expand, and they're hosting a career fair next Wednesday to find applicants.

The career fair will offer a variety of positions with BCSO, along with information on education opportunities to land a job.

Employment with the sheriff's office include.

  • Deputy Sheriff  
  • Corrections Deputy
  • Jail Operations
  • Communications Dispatcher
  • Animal Enforcement Officer
  • Animal Care Technician
  • Security Officer
  • Various Technical, Analytical, and Clerical Positions

Some of the positions will require the following qualifications:

  • 19 years of age
  • U.S. Citizen
  • High school diploma or state equivalent
  • No felony convictions
  • Meet physical fitness and medical standards, including hearing and visual acuity
  • Background investigation
  • Other additional agency hiring standards}

Recently BCSO took over operations of Brevard Animal Services.

The fair takes place Wednesday, July 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the North Precinct on Columbia Boulevard in Titusville. Eastern Florida State College reps will be on hand to talk about law enforcement degrees.
