The United Launch Alliance launched an Atlas V rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on Wednesday.

The rocket successfully launched at 2:30 p.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 3 at Vandenberg AFB.

Officials say the launch readiness review was completed in advance of the launch, and no issues were reported. Weather was 40 percent favorable for launch conditions at the time of liftoff.

The Atlas V is carrying DigitalGlobe's WorldView-3 payload for Lockheed Martin Commercial Launch Services.
