Strolling holiday carolers, Santa and an ice rink are helping locals and tourists kick off the Christmas season in Celebration.

On Saturday night, Celebration hosted its Now Snowing event that runs through December.

Even though Floridians don't get to have a White Christmas, the city hopes to change that with this event.

At the top of every hour, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., you can expect to see snow falling.

Now Snowing uses hundreds of gallons of liquid snow to create the snow. Coordinators said the goal is to bring the sights and sounds of Christmas to Central Florida.

Along with the snow, people can ride on horse-drawn carriages, watch performances by local artists and ride the Celebration Express Train. There is also an ice rink that opens daily from 4:00-10:00 p.m.

Parking and admission are free for the month long winter wonderland spectacular.  The event runs every night through the month of December.
