It’s a children’s book that is just like any other book. They only difference though is that it takes six people to turn just one page.

The book is part of Rotary District 6890’s huge literacy initiative.

“Reading is the basis of all knowledge, if we can create excitement in reading then we can create excitement in learning,” said governor for Rotary District 6890 Gary Gunter.

Rotarians turned local author Fred Koehler’s book "How to Cheer up Dad" into what they hope would be the world’s largest traveling children’s book.

“I was completely blown away when the rotary called and I asked if I would be interested in helping them with this,” said author Fred Koehler.

It took Rotarians a month to put together the 26 feet wide by 13 feet high book.

Each page is made up of vinyl billboard material and has a wheel at the bottom to help it move. The book even has a spine that copies the movement of the book as the pages turn.

Pages that will make you break a sweat.

For parents, this idea is a big way to grab kids’ attention.

Through the unveiling of the book Saturday, Rotarians are hoping their efforts make the books of the Guinness world record.
