A Muslim civil tights group is suing a Florida gun shop owner who declared his store a “Muslim Free Zone.”

The lawsuit was filed in Miami on Wednesday by CAIR, Council on American-Islamic Relations.

They are alleging Florida Gun Supply and its owner Andy Hallinan are violating the Civil Rights Act by banning Muslims from the Inverness gun store.

Their attorney, Bernard Mazaheri of Morgan and Morgan, said the discrimination against Muslims and others based on religion is illegal and they are demanding an injunction against the store immediately.

“Florida Gun supply is a place of entertainment. People purchase guns because they have pleasure with it, and have fun with it. And they should not be able to prohibit who goes in there,” said Bernard Mazaheri.

Florida Gun Supply owner Andy Hallinan made the Muslim-free declaration in a controversial YouTube video right after the Chattanooga shootings.
