Four years ago, Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher offered a freshman running back from Timber Creek named Jacques Patrick a scholarship.

Fifty offers and over 7,000 rushing yards later, Patrick returned the favor.

Patrick, a consensus five-star recruit, committed to Fisher's Seminoles in a gym full of friends, teammates and family members. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound running back picked the Noles over Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida and Ohio State.

"For the next three to four years, I'll be attending Florida State University," Patrick yelled, pulling out a garnet and gold hat out of a brief case, then flasing the famous chop, as cheers erupted.

In his four-year career, Patrick has rushed for 7,323 yards, seventh all-time on the Florida high school rushing list. He's the first Metro Conference athlete to rush for 1,000 yards in four consecutive seasons and the 10th player in the state's history to eclipse the 7,000-yard mark.

247Sports.com ranks Patrick as the No. 3 running back in the nation and the 39th-overall recruit in the country. He's ranked No. 2 in BHSN's Central Florida Top 20.

Patrick is the 19th member of the Seminoles' 2015 class, fourth from Central Florida, joining Mainland defensive back AJ Westbrook, Oak Ridge WR Nyqwan Murray and Montverde Academy OL Abdul Bello.
