University of South Florida Director of Athletics Mark Harlan today announced the addition of a home-and-home football series with Georgia Tech to be played in 2021 and 2022. The announcement joins recently added Bulls football series with Texas, Syracuse, BYU and Northern Illinois.

The Bulls and Yellow Jackets will meet for the first time on Sept. 11, 2021 when USF travels to Tech’s 55,000-seat Bobby Dodd Stadium in downtown Atlanta.

Georgia Tech returns the game in Tampa on Sept. 10, 2022.

“Georgia Tech has a tremendous college football tradition and the Atlanta area is home to many passionate USF alumni,” Harlan said. “We are very excited as well to host the Yellow Jackets in Tampa, which is another example of the great programs that our heading into our city over the coming years.”

Georgia Tech has been playing football since 1892 and has recorded more than 700 wins while making 41 bowl appearances, winning 23 bowl games. The Yellow Jackets have won four national titles, the last coming in 1990, and 16 conference titles while claiming 21 consensus All-Americans.

USF continues strong non-conference scheduling in the coming seasons. The Bulls will play 13 games vs. “Big Five” opponents between 2013-18, including home-and-home series vs. Florida State (2015 & 2016), Wisconsin (2014 & 2017), Illinois (2017 & 2018), Maryland (2014 & 2015) and Syracuse (2015 & 2016). USF is playing seven games vs. Big Ten opponents over the six seasons (2013-18), including two this year vs. Maryland (Sept. 6) and at Wisconsin (Sept. 27).
