Plant City distanced themselves from any possible district tie-breaker scenario with a 20-14 win Friday night over Brandon. The win secures the Raiders the 7A District 8 runner-up spot to Durant, who knocked off East Bay 28-7.
Things didn't come easy for Plant City though, as they trailed to the Eagles 14-6 at the half.
In the 3rd quarter, short touchdown runs by Markese Hargrove and Austin Carswell gave Plant City enough offense to hold on for the victory.
