How they match up: Here we go again. Miami Central and Armwood for the 6A state championship, the third time in four years these two heavyweights will battle for it all.

Armwood, the 2011 champion, surprised many last season by reaching the 6A title game and had no answer for Miami Central's Dalvin Cook, a fast-rising star at Florida State. He rushed for 233 yards and four touchdowns. This season, Armwood's defense has improved, pitching nine shut outs all season. The Hawks defense is led by the nation's No. 2 overall recruit, five-star defensive end Byron Cowart (68 TKL. 21 TFL, 11 SACKS, 5 FF), the Florida Dairy Farmer's 6A Player of the Year. Behind him is Mr. Reliable, Jordan Griffin, the Hawks star linebacker, who has a team-leading 139 tackles. Offensively, Armwood has experience under center, with Noah Johnson returning at quarterback. He's totaled 451 yards and seven touchdowns the last two games. The Hawks have a three-headed attack rushing the ball, as well.

As for Central, they've been, there done that. The Rockets are going for their third-straight state title. Cook may be gone, but his cousin. Anthony Jones, is filling in his shoes. The x-factor for the Rockets has been used all over the field and will be featured heavily Saturday. Cedric Miller is the leader out of the backfield, rushing for 1,625 yards and nine touchdowns this season. Then there's the nightmare match up at receiver, Da'Vante Phillips, a five-star recruit. Central features a nice punch on defense, led by DE Keivonnis Davis and S Jamel Cook, Dalvin's brother.

Three facts to know:

1. The match up features two of the nation's highest-ranked teams, Central (No. 6) and Armwood (No. 32), per USA Today.

2. Central is making their fifth-straight trip to a state final, a record in Miami-Dade County.

3. Armwood's defense allowed 23 points in the entire regular season, besting their total of 40 from last season.
