The Wiregrass Ranch boys tennis team was in search of the school's first team title. 

The Bulls pulled it off and shared the crown alongside four-time winner Barron Collier as the Class 3A state co-champions.  Both teams finished with 15 points in Thursday's state tennis finals at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs. 

Wiregrass Ranch racked up points in the boys singles finals with Agustin Morena defeating Matanzas Davey Roberts 6-7(4), 6-1, 6-0 to play for the overall boys singles title on Friday.  Junior Pedro Fernandez del Valle captured gold in the No. 2 singles by defeating Jensen Beach's Avery Davis 6-2, 6-3.  Alejandro Feliciano also bought home gold for the Bulls in the No. 4 singles but their Bulls' teammate Foresight Okungbowa fell to Paul Johnson of Barron Collier 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-3 in the boys No. 3 singles final.

Melbourne's Gregory Durham and Jakob Mostyn will meet Barron Collier's Alan Sweet and Paul Johnson for the overall doubles championship.

Claire Hallock took home gold for Lakeland in the No. 4 girls singles by handling Antonia Poate of Niceville in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.  The Dreadnaughts kept rolling behind Mackenzie Pike in the No. 5 singles beating Niceville's Andi Vonhilsheimer.

Largo's Alexis Franco fell short in the individual singles, dropping straight sets to Nikki Kallenburg of Naples.  However, Franco and partner Laurel Wanger advanced to the final round of the individual doubles and will play Kallenburg and Letizia Atzen in the finals.

In Class 1A, Canterbury's Evan Holvoet won the individual singles championship by defeating Miami Country Day's Shaun Berman 7-5, 6-1.
