Tampa Bay Christian is back in the FHSAA.

A different Tampa Bay Christian.

The FHSAA Board of Directors approved the new school with an old name's admittance into the association based on the fact there is a brand new administration, FHSAA spokesman Corey Sobers said.

The new administrators met before the board on Tuesday in an effort to get back into the association. The former Tampa Bay Christian withdrew from the FHSAA last year amidst an investigation into the use of ineligible players on the boys basketball team.

In February 2013, the Rams won their first district basketball title in seven years with a good portion of their roster featuring international players. It was during this time the FHSAA investigated the program.

Three months later, the investigation ended when Tampa Bay Christian abruptly withdrew from the FHSAA.

With today's ruling, Tampa Bay Christian can compete as a part of the FHSAA as an independent for two years and then they will be placed into a classification and district.
