The Tampa Bay Tech Titans put on a show in the BHSN/BCP 9 Route 7-on-7 Championship, defeating the Spoto Spartans 34-20, in their first-ever title game appearance.

Star recruit Deon Cain, who is verbally committed to Clemson, flashed his talent all over the field, accounting for 100 receiving yards and 3 TD.  Cain started last year at QB, but is rated one of the top receivers in the nation by recruiting services.  His potential replacement at QB, rising sophomore Trent Wyatt, was efficient and effective, completing 24 of 35 passes for 278 yards and 5 TD.

The defenses had their moments as well, with three interceptions for each team.  Kevin Hobley got Spoto on the scoreboard with a defensive TD in the first half, while Tech safety Sherrod Paige recorded two picks.

Spoto was attempting to become the first school to win two BHSN/BCP 9 Route 7-on-7 championships.
