Plant's record is officially 0-0, but they scored an impressive victory over #1 Armwood in their preseason classic, battling back from an 11-point deficit to score the winning TD with less than a minute left for a 21-17 victory.

The #2-ranked team in the BHSN Top 20 struggled through the first three quarters, until BHSN Player of the Game Patrick Brooks started to wear down the Armwood defense.  He finished with 145 rushing yards and a TD.  Tykese Keaton-Baldwin scored the game-winning TD on a 15-yd misdirection.

It was a game that lasted over three hours and was marred by penalties and turnovers.  The two teams combined for 35 penalties and seven turnovers.

In Rex Culpepper's first varsity start, the highly-touted junior QB struggled against Armwood's pressure defense, finishing 5-17 for 75 yards and a TD pass to Jordan Reed.  For Armwood, the standouts were senior QB Noah Johnson (85 rush yards, 66 pass yards, rush TD) and senior RB Caylan Holloway (82 rush yards, 35 receiving yards, rush TD).

Plant's defense also forced five turnovers, including two interceptions each from safeties Derrick Baity and Scoop Bradshaw.
