The Vanguard Knights traveled from Ocala to take on Lake Highland Prep in the BHSN Game of the Week at Bishop Moore HS and made quick work of the Highlanders in a 3-1 victory.
The Knights jumped out to an early 14-6 lead in the first set led by senior outside hitter and Iowa commit, Reagan Davey who finished the night with 24 kills. Vanguard won the first set easily 25-14.
The Highlanders used a 6-1 run in the second set to knock off the Knights 25-23 behind the stellar play of junior outside hitter Tristin Kott who had 6 kills in the set and 13 on the night.
Vanguard regrouped and cruised to victories in the third and fourth sets, 25-14 and 25-12 led by junior outside hitter Ciara Debell who had 15 kills on the evening.
The Knights improve to 9-0 on the season. The loss drops the Highlanders to 4-8 with the very tough Berkeley Prep Premiere Tournament coming up this weekend.
