LAND O' LAKES - Fitting of its namesake, Sunlake met Springstead in a downpour in the city of Land O' Lakes Friday night.
Springstead jumped on the board quicky in the first quarter with a 95 yard touchdown run. And it was all defense from there.
Both teams struggled to throw the ball, the rain certainly didn't help. Springstead's defense needed one big stop late in the fourth quarter to secure the win, and that's when Conor Ross and the Eagles defense came up big, making a shoe-string tackle on Dayton Feiden.
Springstead kept the the seahawks off the board and held on for a 6-0 win.
