UCF landed one of their top offensive line targets on Sunday.

Lake Wales (Fla.) three-star center Luke Hiers committed to the Knights following an unofficial visit to campus Sunday.

"It's the right system to play in for me," Hiers told 247Sports' Ryan Bartow. "The coaches didn't feed me bad stuff. We are straight up and all of it was good. They want me. It's just a great place."

Hiers is being recruited to replace starting center Joey Grant, who graduates after next season. He may get playing time earlier than expected.

"They seemed to want me to work guard next year," Hiers said.

Hiers, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound offensive lineman, decommitted from Kentucky this summer, picking the Knights over the Wildcats, Louisville and USF.

"The whole school in general," Hiers said on why he committed. "It was great."

He visited UCF last weekend for their home opener against Bethune-Cookman. Hiers wanted to take official visits before committing, but changed his mind this weekend.

"I know I want to stay close to home," he said. "It's the best place for me. I don't need to look."

The three-star prospect is ranked as the nation's No. 10 center and the No. 77 recruit in the state of Florida in the 2015 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

Hiers is UCF's 12th commitment for the Class of 2015.
