The Class 1A Swimming State Championships were held at the Sailfish Splashpark Aquatic Athletics Center in Stuart, FL - this will serve as the site for the other 3 classes of state championships for swimming.
Montverde Academy had an impressive night, especially from senior Kendall Dawson and Katie Schorr. Dawson won the 500 freestyle, while the sophomore, Schorr, claimed All-American status in both of the races she won: The 50 Yard Freestyle and the 100 Yard Freestyle. The Monteverde girls also won the 400 Yard Freestyle relay.
Tampa Catholic sophomore swimmer Christin Rockway won the 200 Yars Individual Medley. Trinity Catholic girl swimming took the first event of the night in the 200 Yard Medley Relay.
