Orlando City SC U.S. Soccer Development Academy midfielder Raul Aguilera Jr. has been called up by U.S. U-18 Men's National Team head coach Javier Perez for the 2015 Open Nordic Cup Tournament from July 30-August 10.
The call-up marks the first-ever U-18 Men's National Team camp for Aguilera Jr., who has previously represented the U-15 and U-16 teams.
"We are really happy that Raul has been called up based on his excellent season," said General Manager Paul McDonough. "Raul continues to develop his game. He is everything we want out of our young players, and we look forward to seeing his continued progress."
The 16-year-old will join Perez's 19-man roster for matches against the Faroe Islands (August 4), Iceland (August 5) and Sweden (August 7). The opponent for a final placement game to be played on Sunday, August 9, will be determined following the conclusion of all three group fixtures.
