Wiregrass Ranch defeated district rival Freedom in a four set match that could have gone either way.

The Bulls took the first set, 18-25, then dropped the second set 25-17, and finished off the Patriots, 23-25, 20-25.

Wiregrass Ranch was led by junior outside hitter Austin Kopenski and senior middle blocker Courtney Rottum.

Rottum came on strong in the third and fourth sets, helping the Bulls finish off the Patriots with 9 kills and four blocks, earning BHSN Player of the Game honors.

Kopenski was a steady force all game, finishing with five kills.

For Freedom, senior outside hitter Danielle Thomas played true to her role as a utility player, dominating all over the court, with 10 kills and three blocks.

With the win, Wiregrass improves to 10-4, Freedom drops to 6-3.
