Orlando City SC forward Cyle Larin has been called up to the Canadian Men’s National Team for the team’s upcoming training camp and international friendly against the United States Men’s National Team.
Set to occur on Feb. 5, the contest against the USMNT will take place at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA, with kickoff scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET. Canada’s upcoming training camp, which runs from Jan. 25 to Feb. 6, will continue the team’s preparations for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

The 20-year-old striker has already earned 14 caps for the senior team, scoring four goals as the primary striker for his native country. In his first-ever Major League Soccer (MLS) season with Orlando, Larin took the league by storm – earning 2015 MLS Rookie of the Year honors after setting the single-season scoring record for a rookie with 17 finishes.

Following his breakout rookie campaign, Larin was nominated for several major awards, including CONCACAF Player of the Year, BMO Canadian Player of the Year and Canadian U-20 Player of the Year Award.
