After a third successful week back at training, Orlando City SC looks to continue the positive start of its 2016 preseason fixtures when they take on North American Soccer League (NASL) side Jacksonville Armada FC on Saturday, Feb. 13.

Kick-off is scheduled at 6 p.m. ET at the Community First Park in Jacksonville. Tickets are available and can be purchased by visiting www.armadafc.com.

“We want to see the stuff that we have been working on this week. The specifics that we need to improve on from last year, and that’s what the focus has been on at training,” said Head Coach Adrian Heath. “I want to see if we can implement them into the game, and more importantly see that they are taking the information on board and getting better at what we think we need to be better.”

The match, which will signify the first-ever face off between the two Floridian clubs, will be the second of a series of preseason friendlies for City, as they continue their preparation for the 2016 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.

Over the weekend, Orlando City dominated the pitch with a 4-0 victory over Eastern Florida State College. Featuring a different lineup on each half, the Lions controlled the possession and the attacking chances against the Titans and debuted five of their newcomers – goalkeeper Joe Bendik, defender Kevin Alston, midfielders Richie Laryea and Tony Rocha and forward Hadji Barry.

Former University of Central Florida and MLS SuperDraft pick Barry notched his first brace, while the youngster Tyler Turner tallied a goal off his chest before the break. Rocha made his contribution in the second half, scoring his first goal for Orlando City after a clever combination with Pedro Ribeiro.

Armada FC also looks to start a preseason win-streak as they enter Saturday’s match coming off of a 1-0 victory over the Philadelphia Union.

The rain could do nothing to stop Charles Eloundou’s game winning goal in the 80th minute off a pass from Orlando City 2015 SuperDraft pick, Akeil Barrett, to give Armada the victory.

Barrett is not the only familiar face that fans will see at Saturday’s match, the Armada roster also features favorites from Orlando City’s USL days including defenders Bryan Burke and Mechack Jérôme, as well as goalkeeper Miguel Gallardo.
