Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon has been selected to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto during State Farm All-Star Saturday Night.

Gordon, the fourth selection in the 2014 NBA Draft, is averaging 7.7 ppg. and 5.7 rpg. in 21.0 minpg this season. He has led (or tied) the team in scoring twice and in rebounding seven times. Gordon has scored in double figures 20 times and has set career-highs in scoring (19 vs. Boston, 1/31/16) and rebounds (16 vs. San Antonio, 2/1/16) in the past week.

This marks the eighth time a Magic player will be represented in the Slam Dunk contest. Past participants include: Victor Oladipo – 2015; Dwight Howard – 2009, 2008, 2007; Darrell Armstrong – 1996; Nick Anderson – 1992 and Otis Smith – 1991. Gordon will be joined in the contest by Minnesota’s Zach LaVine, Detroit’s Andre Drummond and Denver’s Will Barton.

The basketball world will descend on Toronto for State Farm All-Star Saturday Night featuring three different events showcasing the NBA’s best and brightest stars. The evening begins with the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, followed by the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest and culminating with the Verizon Slam Dunk. TNT will televise NBA All-Star Saturday Night beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET, part of Turner Sports’ 31st year of All-Star coverage.
